The U.S. Melodic Rock Fest 2 concert has been an amazing event for Thorsten and Eden´s Curse! Thanks to all the fans and the amazing audience as well as all the people behind the scenes who helped make this a special night for the band!!!

A short time after the Brock/ VALENTINE performance, the crowd was revved and ready for the U.S. debut of rock heavyweights EDEN’S CURSE OR, as I have come to call it, “the set that almost wasn’t!” There was a lot of controversy surrounding this performance as well but without going into too much detail apparently the band’s keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio was denied entry into the United States due to “visa” issues. This forced the band to spend most of Friday and Saturday morning in the rehearsal studio trying to tighten up their arrangements without the use of their normal, melodic keyboard accents. The result was one of the heaviest and raunchy performances of the entire weekend.
Michael Eden was just astounding as they tore through “CURSE” favorites like “Just Like Judas,” “Fallen King,” “After the Love Is Gone and “Signs of Your Life.” Sure, the songs weren’t as “melodic” as they may have been with the addition of Del Vecchio but the arrangements were tight and I really liked the rawer, edgier sound conceived through the hours of additional studio time. And HOLY SHIT! Did lead guitarist Thorsten Koehne ever step up to the plate! I always knew this guy was a great guitar player, but the additional fills and shreds he added to the performance were simply unbelievable. This was more than apparent in the band’s heavy-hitting encores “Angels & Demons” and the killer, in-your-face shedder “Judgement Day.” This was a prime example of a professional group of musicians overcoming adversity to produce a performance that was nothing less than magnificent. Kudos to you Michael and the rest of the band for all your efforts… we here at ROCKEYEZ salute you!

After TK returned from the U.S. he entered COP studios in his home of Bielefeld/Germany to start working on the new EDEN´S CURSE album "TRINITY".

TK feels it´s some of the strongest and most exciting material he´s worked on so far with Eden´s Curse and recordings are sounding very promising.
AFM records have set a release date for "Trinity" for October 15th.

MELODIC ROCK FEST 2 COMING UP AND PIMP MY GUITAR:
The Melodic Rock Fest 2 concert event is scheduled to take place at The Roadhouse in Elgin, Illinois, within minutes of downtown Chicago on the weekend of April 30th to May 2nd, 2010.
Also Thorsten wants to thank Det Moews of Pimp My Guitar who did a great job recently on restoring his 80´s Ibanez RG 550.
The guitar features now 2 Di Marzio HS-3 single coil pickups in front and neck position, a stock Ibanez single coil in middle position and it sounds and plays better than ever!
Also Det "pimped" TK´s Dean Tyrant V by installing 2 new Di Marzio D´Activator humbucker pickups in front and neck position. The guitar sounds even more awesome now and TK will be playing it exclusively for the recordings of the new Eden´s Curse studio album "Trinity"!

COMING TO AMERICA, LIVE DVD AND ALBUM, TRINITY UPDATE:

Multinational Melodic Metallers Eden's Curse are thrilled to announce they will be recording their first Live DVD and album in none other than the USA in May.

The band were approached by http://www.MelodicRock.com owner Andrew McNeice to appear at his Melodic Rock Fest 2 concert event which is scheduled to take place at The Roadhouse in Elgin, Illinois, within minutes of downtown Chicago on the weekend of April 30th to May 2nd, 2010.
"Melodic Rock.Com wanted diversity with this line-up and he shall have it" says Michael Eden, the bands singer. He adds "When Andrew requested The Curse we just couldn't say no! The wheels will be greased and the band will be firing on all cylinders. This should make an interesting few days sharing the stage with Y&T, Winger, Danger Danger, Jimi Jamison (Survivor), Crown Of Thorns, Alias and of course one time Journey vocalist Jeff Scott Soto's new band W.E.T. among many others. The Curse has wanted to play in America for quite some time and now we will do that along with capturing it live in a city I've played many times in the last twenty plus years".

Eden's Curse are also nearing completion of the writing phase for their third album, to be titled "Trinity", which will be recorded in Spring with the bands long term producer Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69/Angra/Krokus) once again at the helm. "Trinity" will mark the bands recording debut with new keyboard player Alessandro Del Vecchio (Glenn Hughes/Iain Paice/Moonstone Project/Edge Of Forever).
A Fall 2010 release is planned with full promotion to follow.

TK RETURNS FROM U.K./SCOTLAND TOUR AND MORE :
Thorsten just returned from EDEN´s CURSE highly successful U.K./Scotland tour with Alestorm and The Rotted and it has been a blast all throughout the last 2 weeks.
As TK states:
"All the shows we played have been great and the audience once again were amazing! I want to thank all the people who came to see us in front of the stage, behind the stage, backstage, under the stage and on the tourbus...;-)!!! A big special thanks also to the guys of Alestorm and The Rotted who have been very cool and fun to hang out with! Let´s do this again sometime soon!"

BACK FROM THE TOUR AND MORE NEWS :
So finally we found the time to do an update: Sorry for the long wait!
As you all may already know Thorsten and Eden´s Curse are back from their U.K. and Irland Tour 2009...and what a great tour it was indeed!!!
Thorsten states:
"This tour has been an absolute thrill for me and we had a blast every night playin´ and rockin´ at all this great places! Thanks to Stratovarious and Firewind, our fantastic crew and to all the friends and fans we met!!! I can´t wait to go back on the road!!!"

Coming home from the tour there wasn´t much rest for TK as he headed straight back to the rehearsal room to get ready for some upcoming live shows with his cover band D.N.A.. EDEN'S CURSE RELEASE ANGELS & DEMONS PROMO VIDEO FEATURING QUEENSRYCHE'S SISTER MARY:
Multinational Melodic Metallers Eden's Curse have released their official promo video for "Angels & Demons" which includes a duet with Pamela Moore, best known for her performance as Sister Mary, on Queensrÿche's 1988 epic release "Operation: Mindcrime" and 2006's sequel "Operation: Mindcrime II".

The track "Angels & Demons" will be featured on Damien Dante's forthcoming Original Motion Picture Jezebeth, which will be released via Satania 6 Films later in 2009, as well as the Dark Star Records accompanying Soundtrack. The band have also inked a deal to include the promo video as a bonus inclusion on the DVD release of Jezebeth.

Recently Thorsten recorded all lead guitars and solos on 11 of the 12 tracks for the new Joe Lynn Turner solo album "SUNSTORM - House Of Dreams".
Thorsten says:
" Joe Lynn Turner has been one of my heroes ever since his legendary days with Deep Purple/Rainbow and later on as singer with Yngwie Malmsteen. "Live In Leningrad" to this date is still one of my favourite records and never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that one time I´d be recording with JLT! It´s a pleasure to contribute to songs by such amazing writers like Desmond Child (Kiss, Bon Jovi), Jim Peterik, Russ Ballard and Paul Sabu and it´s an incredible honour for me to play for a true rock legend and one of the greatest singers on this planet, Joe Lynn Turner!"

TK - ROCKIN´OUT LIVE WITH D.N.A.:
Besides playing guitar in the internationally successful band EDEN´S CURSE Thorsten regularly rocks out live with his cover band D.N.A. (which is short for Devils And Angels)! D.N.A. reside in Hannover/Germany playing in the club circuit of the local area and are also part of the ROCKTAIL band community which usually draws a crowd of up to 2000 fans at their concerts.
Thorsten states:
" D.N.A. rocks!!! It´s the most fun for me to hit the stage with my friends Gerry, Kai and Klaus and to play all our favourite tunes from 40 years of rock history! We play live and we play loud, that´s what´s it all about! Long Live Rock´n Roll !!!"

THE SECOND COMING OF EDEN'S CURSE:
AFM Records (Germany), Metal Mayhem Music (North America) and Spiritual Beast (Japan) are pleased to announce the return of Multi-national Melodic Metallers Eden's Curse and their sophomore studio release The Second Coming.
Once again production duties were handled by Pink Cream 69 bassist, and producer extraordinaire, Dennis Ward (Angra, Krokus, Silent Force, Allen/Lande) as the band have truly "Upped the Ante" in terms of song writing, performance and production. This is simply going to be a monster of a release that will build upon the success of the self titled debut album. Many in the industry feel this album alone by itself will now cement the arrival of Eden's Curse as truly a name to be reckoned with!
Assisting Michael Eden (Vocals), Thorsten Koehne (Guitar), Paul Logue (Bass), Pete Newdeck (Drums) and Ferdy Doernberg (Keys) in creating this huge wall of sound is none other than the voice of TNT, Starbreaker, Westworld and now a solo artist - Tony Harnell who sings backing vocals on the whole album.
Former Rainbow and Yngwie Malmsteen frontman, and current Cornerstone and Empire vocalist Doogie White once again returns to the aid the Curse Choir along with the ever present Carsten Schulz of Evidence One, Midnite Club and Roger Staffelbach's Angel of Eden fame.
Also featured is vocalist Pamela Moore best known for her performance as Sister Mary on Queensrÿche's 1988 epic release "Operation: Mindcrime" and 2006's sequel "Operation: Mindcrime II", who duets with Michael Eden on the incredible Power Metal Anthem "Angels & Demons".

AFM RECORDS COMPILATIONS "ALL FOR METAL" CD/DVD SET AND "HEART BREAKERS" CD WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY!
These items should be the perfect Christmas present for all Metal Fans:
On November, 30, 2007 and December, 07, 2007, AFM Records will release two compilations which will include several AFM highlights.
The first compilation, a DVD / CD box set, was named "All For Metal". The DVD contains many video clips of the AFM artists as well as some rare live video material. The CD will include lots of highlights of the latest AFM releases as well as brand new unreleased songs of Dezperadoz, Paradox and President Evil. The release date of "All For Metal" will be November, 30, 2007!
The second compilation with the title "Heart Breakers" will include 18 Metal Ballads of Bands like Shakra, Krokus, Masterplan, Edguy and U.D.O. It will be released on December, 07, 2007!
