When Thorsten first began playing guitar at 11 years old, unbeknown to him, he had actually picked it up in a rather unorthodox way by playing it left handed and with the strings upside down. This almost unique style of playing baffled many onlookers but not our young protagonist who stormed out of the traps and began picking up chops from early idols such as BRIAN MAY , EDDIE VAN HALEN , CARLOS SANTANA and ANDY SUMMERS .

His keen ear for music and genuine talent meant that within two years this self taught player was taking the stage at the ripe old age of 13 in his first live band. At one time our newly blooded Guitar Hero was applying his trade in four different bands with styles ranging from Jazz to Pop to Rock and by the time he hit 15 years old he was teaching guitar.

Thorsten's first major break through came in 1995 with his first worldwide released album as guitar player with German Metallers ATTACK with the album “The Secret Place” on JVC/Victor.

Since then he has acquired a vast amount of studio and live experience with countless appearances with national and international artists, and secured an endorsement deal with DEAN GUITARS where he played at clinics in Europe and USA including the World famous NAMM show in Los Angeles . This, along with a demo tape, brought Thorsten to the attention of MIKE VARNEY , owner of SHRAPNEL RECORDS , and champion of shred guitar and also saw him participate in sessions with MARTY FRIEDMAN and PAUL GILBERT .

In 2001 Thorsten joined German Hard Rockers DEMON DRIVE and released two albums - "Rock´n Roll Star" in 2001 and "Four Play" in 2003.

2005 saw Thorsten form his own solo band, under the moniker CODE OF PERFECTION , and signing to German label LIMB MUSIC PRODUCTIONS . The debut album “Last Exit For The Lost” was Produced by ex- DOMAIN and CASANOVA bassist JOCHEN MAYER and was released in early 2006. The album featured a wealth of guest talent including the ex- DOMAIN , EVIDENCE ONE and MIDNITE CLUB vocalist CARSTEN LIZARD SCHULZ . WILD AXIS , SHORTINO , PRIMAL FEAR , SILENT FORCE , THE SYGNET and SINNER guitarist ALEX BEYRODT , ROUGH SILK , and AXEL RUDI PELL keyboard player FERDY DOERNBERG and further shredding from ex- NITRO guitarist MICHAEL ANGELO BATIO . The album received fantastic reviews with the press heralding it a “ great return to the heydays of Instrumental Metal ” and Thorsten as “ one of the best guitarists of our days ”.

In January 2006 Thorsten joined International supergroup EDEN'S CURSE featuring seasoned musicians from Europe and America. The sensational debut album was Produced by PINK CREAM 69 bassist and celebrated Producer DENNIS WARD. The group signed to German label AFM RECORDS in June 2007 with late August of the same year being set as the release date. The band also inked deals with METAL MAYHEM MUSIC for the North American territory, DYNAMO RECORDS for the Latin America territory and SPIRITUAL BEAST/UNIVERSAL for the Japanese territory.

Thorsten also contributed some solos to legendary US singer/songwriter PAUL SABU'S solo album “Strange Messiah” that was released on 31 st August 2007 via AOR Heaven.
